Structure Of Thesis


This post will show you what must be include in different chapter of thesis or research article.
what must be include in the  abstract of the study.
  1. One sentence but too attractive about your study.
  2. Purpose of your study: (means what is your purpose behind this study.
  3. Methodology: what methodology you adopt like regression, ECM , VECM etc.
  4. Findings :  what you find , what are your results.
  5. Research limitation:  briefly explain limitation of your study.
  6. Originality: what  unique you done 

important notes, regarding your abstract
answers to these questions should be found in the abstract.
  1. Don't repeat information in abstract
  2. Approximately word 400, but it depend
  3. What you did in your study
  4. What was purpose of your study
  5. How you find results, means procedure
  6. What is new in your study, significance
  7. Remember don't use references in abstract.
STRUCTURE OF YOUR INTRODUCTION CHAPTER

  1. Introduction of your topic
  2. Background of your study (means mention previous studies on same topic
  3. Justification of your study (means justify what were the limitation of earlier studies)
  4. Problem statement of your study(means what is most problematic issue  )
  5. Significance of your study(empirical or theoretical)
  6. Identification of your variables (means development of research model)
  7. Research question ( means your research questions must be measurable)
  8. Research Objective 
  9. Research Sc op ( Means how much you are going to study, mention also why you are focusing on this area , why not other areas)
  10. Overview of each variables
  11. Structure of your Thesis / Article (like how much chapter do u have in thesis like literature,methodology etc)
  12. Summary of your introduction chapter (like purpose , problem statement variable methodology etc

LITERATURE REVIEW
  1. In first paragraph give a brief introduction about the current chapter means literature reviews chapter,like this chapter will discuss about the different studies which are took place in different region, places , countries, or cultures etc.and mention few studies references as well as .
  2. Over View of population
  3. Now write a paragraph about the globally scope of the study or what is trend of present study in variables countries like , in china , america peoples are much concerned about the environmental issues,world wide organizations are working for the improvement or the society etc.means talk about your research topic in globally perceptive. and you also mention studies about your countries means how much work is done on your research topic in your country to find gap.
  4. Now at next paragraph define your first variable , and in next paragraph define second variables ,means write few lines in individual paragraph about your each variable.and also mention proxy of each variables , means how you measure specific variable , like profitability i have a variables so i must mention how i measure this variable like with help of ROA,ROE,SIZE, SALE,ETC(Note give proper differentiation of variables start with theory and then give reference from articles)
  5. Now you define all variables as well as all the proxies , now mention studies, literature on the specific topic,it depend how many words or pages should.
  6. Now write a paragraph which must identify gap, because gap in the main reason that's why you are working on a specific topic.if there is no gap in literature still you doing research on same topic then your work is in vain .
  7. High light limitation of  prior studies
  8. Hypothesis development / this will be better if you define variable and after analyzing gap of each variable develop hypothesis at the end of each variable.

RESULTS

  1. The results are actual statements of observations, including statistics, tables and graphs.
  2. Indicate information on range of variation.
  3. Mention negative results as well as positive. Do not interpret results - save that for the discussion. 
  4. Lay out the case as for a jury. Present sufficient details so that others can draw their own inferences and construct their own explanations. 
  5. Use S.I. units (m, s, kg, W, etc.) throughout the thesis. 
  6. Break up your results into logical segments by using subheadings
  7. Key results should be stated in clear sentences at the beginning of paragraphs.  It is far better to say "X had significant positive relationship with Y (linear regression p<0.01, r^2=0.79)" then to start with a less informative like "There is a significant relationship between X and Y".  Describe the nature of the findings; do not just tell the reader whether or not they are significant.
